Standardized immunoglobulin and lactoferrin content
ColostrumOne is whole bovine colostrum standardized so that a known share of the powder is immunoglobulin G, alongside IgA, IgM, lactoferrin, lysozyme and small amounts of natural growth factors. That makes the IgG content on a finished product's label meaningful rather than guesswork. It describes what is in the powder, not what happens after you swallow it.
Intestinal barrier support, from colostrum as a class
Bovine colostrum generally has been studied for the gut lining. A meta-analysis of ten randomized trials found it lowered two sugar-probe measures of intestinal permeability, though it did not change a more direct marker of intestinal cell damage, and results varied enormously between studies. One eight-week trial using a very high dose found permeability rose instead. None of this research used ColostrumOne.
Immune support during heavy training, with honest limits
Across five small trials pooling 152 exercising adults, bovine colostrum was associated with fewer days of upper-respiratory symptoms, though four of the five carried a moderate to high risk of bias. A separate pooled analysis of ten trials found little or no effect on antibody levels, so the marker data do not line up neatly with the symptom data. This is class evidence, not a test of this brand.
The delivery claim behind the brand is untested in people
PanTheryx positions ColostrumOne around a proprietary matrix intended to help colostrum's immunoglobulins and growth factors survive manufacturing and digestion. The supporting research is laboratory and animal work involving company-affiliated researchers. No human study has measured whether more intact IgG reaches the intestine with this material, so treat it as an untested idea rather than a proven advantage.
Mechanism of action
Immunoglobulins act inside the gut, not in the blood
IgG, IgA and IgM are large proteins that adults do not absorb intact in meaningful amounts. Any plausible effect is local: binding bacteria, viruses and microbial products in the intestinal contents so they interact less with the gut lining. This is a proposed mechanism, not a demonstrated outcome, and it applies to any bovine colostrum powder.
Lactoferrin and other antimicrobial milk proteins
Colostrum carries lactoferrin, an iron-binding protein, along with lysozyme and lactoperoxidase. In laboratory conditions lactoferrin withholds iron from bacteria and interferes with their growth. How much of this activity survives digestion at typical supplement doses in people is unresolved.
Growth factors and the gut lining
Bovine colostrum contains IGF-1, IGF-2, epidermal growth factor and transforming growth factor beta. In human intestinal cell lines, colostrum reduced cell damage in a way that depended on epidermal growth factor receptor signaling. That work was done in cultured cells, and cell-level signaling does not automatically translate into an effect in a person.
Surviving acid and digestive enzymes is the open question
Stomach acid and pancreatic enzymes break down dietary proteins, immunoglobulins included, which is the reason a delivery-focused colostrum exists at all. There is no published human bioavailability or recovery data for this branded material, so the size of any advantage over ordinary colostrum powder is unknown.
Clinical trials
Meta-analysis of ten randomized controlled trials of bovine colostrum and intestinal permeability (Hajihashemi P, Haghighatdoost F, Kassaian N, et al. 2024, Dig Dis Sci 69(4):1345-1360, PMID 38361147). Class evidence: no branded ingredient and no ColostrumOne was tested.

Colostrum significantly reduced two sugar-probe measures of intestinal permeability, but had no effect on plasma I-FABP, a more direct marker of intestinal cell injury. Variability between the pooled studies was extreme and one of the two permeability effects was very small, so this supports gut barrier function only in general terms.

Bovine colostrum was associated with roughly 44% fewer days of upper-respiratory symptoms and about 38% fewer episodes, the latter only marginally significant. Four of the five pooled trials were judged at moderate or high risk of bias, and the reviewers called for an adequately powered trial.

277 undernourished Malawian infants randomized at 9 months of age and followed for three months.
The gut-permeability co-primary endpoint did not differ between groups, and neither did diarrhoea episodes; linear growth faltering was less pronounced in the supplemented group. This is the closest thing to company-linked human research on colostrum, but the population has little in common with adult supplement users and the gut-barrier endpoint was negative.
