A small pharmacokinetic study (Gota 2010, n=11 osteosarcoma patients plus healthy volunteers) detected free (unconjugated) curcumin after Longvida whereas an equal dose of unformulated curcumin was undetectable in plasma; the '65x' figure is a marketing bioavailability claim, and bioavailability is a pharmacokinetic measure rather than proof of clinical benefit. A major distinction, since most curcumin in the body is glucuronidated (inactive) within hours; Longvida delivers free curcumin via the lymphatic system.
Free Curcumin in Bloodstream Within 1 Hour
A pharmacokinetic study demonstrated free curcumin in the bloodstream within 1 hour of Longvida ingestion; supports once-daily dosing with sustained metabolite presence over 24 hours.
Joint Health and Exercise Recovery (800 mg/day)
The one Longvida exercise study (McFarlin 2016, 400 mg/day) measured muscle-damage and inflammatory biomarkers (CK, TNF-alpha, IL-8) after exercise-induced muscle damage; it did not assess joints or osteoarthritis and did not change subjective soreness. No Longvida-specific joint or osteoarthritis trial supports a joint-health claim.

Tau Oligomer Effects (Mechanism Research)
