Healthy Testosterone Support
The testosterone claim rests entirely on trials of other brands. Testofen®, a different company's fenugreek extract, raised total and free testosterone versus placebo at 600 mg a day for 12 weeks in healthy aging men, and Furosap®, another company's extract, reported higher testosterone in male volunteers over 12 weeks. Neither study used Fenusterols®, no trial of Fenusterols® has been published, and both were industry-funded, so there is no direct evidence for what this particular extract does to testosterone.
Libido and Sexual Function
The libido evidence comes from a 6 week study in 60 healthy men aged 25 to 52 that used a fenugreek extract combined with minerals, so the effect of the fenugreek on its own cannot be separated from the minerals. Testofen®, a different brand, also improved self-reported sexual function in healthy aging men. Both used other companies' products, all outcomes were self-reported questionnaires, and Fenusterols® itself has never been tested for libido.
Male Vitality and Wellbeing
No cited study measured general energy, vitality, or wellbeing. The closest measure is a questionnaire of age-related androgen-decrease symptoms in the Testofen® trial in healthy aging men, which improved versus placebo. That is a different product and a narrow self-reported questionnaire, so broad vitality and energy claims should be treated as unproven for Fenusterols®.
Standardized Saponin Fraction
Fenusterols® is standardized to the furostanolic saponin fraction, the part of fenugreek seed believed to be responsible for its hormone-related effects. Standardization means each batch is made to a consistent saponin content, which is a manufacturing quality point rather than a proven health benefit. No study has compared Fenusterols® against whole fenugreek seed or against any other fenugreek extract.
Mechanism of action
Steroidal Saponin Activity
Furostanolic saponins such as protodioscin are the proposed active fraction, hypothesized to support endogenous androgen pathways and steroidogenesis, though the precise human mechanism is not fully established.
Aromatase and 5-Alpha-Reductase Modulation
Fenugreek constituents have been reported to modestly inhibit the aromatase and 5-alpha-reductase enzymes in laboratory models, which could in theory shift the balance between testosterone and its metabolites. None of the studies cited on this page tested that, and it has not been shown for Fenusterols® in people.
Free Testosterone and SHBG Effects
The Testofen® trial reported increases in both total and free testosterone versus placebo in healthy aging men, which is why free testosterone and sex-hormone-binding globulin come up in discussions of fenugreek. That result belongs to a different branded extract, and no measurement of these markers has been published for Fenusterols®.

Both total and free testosterone increased versus placebo, and androgen-decrease symptom and sexual function scores improved. The trial is industry-funded, the symptom and sexual-function outcomes are self-reported questionnaires, and the product tested was Testofen®, so this does not show what Fenusterols® does.

Published in Phytotherapy Research in 2011. Because the fenugreek was given together with minerals, its effect on its own cannot be separated out, and the product was not Fenusterols®.
60 healthy men aged 25-52.
The combination product was reported to have a positive effect on self-reported libido, with gains in the arousal and orgasm sections of the questionnaire. It was small and short, 60 men over 6 weeks, industry-funded, every outcome was self-reported, and it cannot tell you whether the fenugreek or the minerals produced the effect.
Study of Furosap®, another company's protodioscin-enriched fenugreek seed extract, over 12 weeks in male volunteers, looking at free and total testosterone, sperm profile, and mood. Published in the International Journal of Medical Sciences in 2017, with authors affiliated with the ingredient's manufacturer. Fenusterols® was not tested.

The report describes higher testosterone and improved sperm measures in the volunteers who took it. This is a manufacturer-linked study of Furosap®, not of Fenusterols®, and results from one branded fenugreek extract do not automatically apply to another.
