Healthy triglycerides
Omega-3 fatty acids reliably lower triglycerides, one of the best-established benefits of EPA and DHA for heart health.
Brain and mood: not tested by the cited research
DHA is a major structural fat in the brain, which is why omega-3s are often studied for mood and thinking skills. The one review cited on this page did not measure cognition or mood at all, so nothing cited here supports a brain or mood benefit from this ingredient.
Inflammation: not measured in the cited research
EPA and DHA are converted into signaling molecules involved in resolving inflammation. The single review cited on this page did not measure inflammation, joint symptoms, or any related outcome, so treat this as background biology rather than a demonstrated benefit.
Mechanism of action
Membrane incorporation
EPA and DHA are built into cell membranes throughout the body, including in the heart, brain, and eyes. That much is well documented, but a change in membrane makeup is not the same as a proven health benefit in any of those organs.
Eicosanoid balance
Omega-3s are converted into signaling molecules (resolvins and prostaglandins) that are involved in resolving inflammation. This is laboratory biology, and no study cited on this page measured inflammation in people.

Adults in many large randomized trials. Note that this is a systematic review pooling existing studies, not a new trial, and none of those studies used DurOmega.
Omega-3 supplements lowered triglycerides. On the outcomes that matter most, the review was negative: at high certainty, omega-3 made little or no difference to death from any cause (RR 0.97) or to cardiovascular events (RR 0.96), and cardiovascular death was essentially unchanged (RR 0.92, moderate certainty). The most positive thing the review says is that omega-3 slightly reduces coronary heart disease deaths and events, at moderate to low certainty. The review did not examine cognition, mood, or inflammation.
