Joint comfort
In a large randomized trial in adults with painful knee osteoarthritis (the MOVES trial), a combined chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine formula reduced joint pain about as much as the anti-inflammatory drug celecoxib. The broader evidence for glucosamine and chondroitin is mixed, however: some large trials (such as GAIT) found no benefit over placebo, and effects tend to appear mainly in more advanced osteoarthritis.
Cartilage support
Glucosamine and chondroitin supply building blocks of cartilage and are among the raw materials the body uses to maintain cartilage. Whether supplementing them actually slows cartilage breakdown in people is not well established, as most human evidence points to symptom relief rather than structural change.
Joint lubrication
The hyaluronic-acid-rich component (Mobilee) is included to support the cushioning, lubricating quality of joint fluid, though clinical evidence for oral hyaluronic acid remains limited.
