Benefits
Short-term cognitive function
In one 7-day randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 60 healthy adult gamers, 300 mg/day Stadice® improved mental speed, attention, response inhibition, and working memory versus placebo on cognitive battery tests. The trial was run by the manufacturer, lasted only one week, and has not been independently replicated.
Verbal learning and memory
In the same short trial, participants taking Stadice® scored better than placebo on auditory verbal learning and memory tests. These are short-term measures over seven days in young healthy gamers, not evidence of a lasting memory benefit or of benefit in older or cognitively impaired people.
Stress and mood
The trial also reported that Stadice® helped participants manage psychological stress, including nervousness, irritability, and mood swings, by self-report. Cortisol was measured but the study did not clearly report a cortisol benefit. These are secondary, self-reported outcomes from a single small study.
Mechanism of action
Mangiferin antioxidant and neuroprotective activity
Mangiferin is a polyphenolic xanthone with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective activity shown in laboratory and animal models. These mechanisms are proposed to explain the cognitive findings but were not measured in the human trial, which reported outcomes only on cognitive tests, self-reported stress, and safety labs.
Clinical trials
Single manufacturer-run randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of Stadice® for cognitive function, published in Cureus (Jeyakodi 2024). There is no Stadice trial in joint or athletic outcomes.
60 healthy male and female adults aged 18-45, all regular esports/video gamers. Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial; 300 mg Stadice® (proprietary mango leaf extract standardized to mangiferin via Insolib Technology) or placebo daily for 7 days. Cognitive testing using NIMHANS Neuropsychological Battery, Auditory Verbal Learning Test, and assessments of psychological stress, anxiety, mood, subjective working memory, and cortisol. Conducted by Zeus Hygia Lifesciences and TrialGuna Private Limited (India). Pranav Diabetes Center Ethics Committee approval TG/CLI/074.
Stadice® significantly improved mental speed, attention, working memory, response inhibition, and verbal learning and memory versus placebo. Participants also reported better management of psychological stress (nervousness, irritability, mood swings); cortisol was measured but the published results did not report a clear cortisol benefit. Mechanism: mangiferin is a polyphenolic xanthone with documented antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective effects. Insolib Technology improves typically poor mangiferin solubility/bioavailability. No adverse events reported.
