Working memory in older adults
Clinical trials specifically using Neumentix® at 900 mg/day document working memory improvements in older adults with mild memory concerns over 4-8 weeks. Effect sizes are modest but clinically meaningful for cognitive aging applications.
Reaction time enhancement
In one Kemin-funded 90-day randomized trial of 142 young active adults, Neumentix improved reaction time and hit counts on some (not all) choice-reaction tasks. A separate small study of sleep-deprived operators found no significant objective effect on reaction or agility, so this benefit is modest and rests on a single funded trial.
Sustained attention support
One Kemin-funded 90-day randomized trial in 142 young active adults found improved sustained and complex attention on a computerized test battery. Whether this reflects reduced neuroinflammation has not been measured in humans.
Standardized rosmarinic acid content
Neumentix® provides reproducible rosmarinic acid content (≥14.5%) batch-to-batch through quality control. Rosmarinic acid is the main polyphenol studied in these trials. Consistent standardization is a quality-control feature, not itself a measured health outcome.
Trial-validated cognitive applications
The clinical evidence base for spearmint extract cognitive effects is built specifically on Neumentix® research. Different from extrapolating generic spearmint folk-medicine claims to cognitive performance applications.
Quality control over generic alternatives
Generic spearmint extracts vary in rosmarinic acid content, and most are not standardized to the levels used in the Neumentix trials. This is a manufacturing-consistency point, not a measured health outcome.
